From DW News.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held talks with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House. The two leaders are seen as having a good rapport, which Erdogan hopes will help him secure a key arms deal. Leading Republicans have indicated that the U.S. government’s block on sales of advanced fighter jets to Ankara may soon be lifted. However, Erdogan is less likely to persuade Trump on another issue important to him: pressuring Israel to end its war in Gaza.
