White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt spoke to reporters in Washington on March 16, saying the Trump administration wants its allies "do more to to help the United States to reopen the Strait of Hormuz" amid war with Iran. Earlier in March, Iran closed the strait – an export route that carries 20% of global oil flows.
