Five students and a teacher were among those killed in a school shooting in Tumbler Ridge, B.C.

Among the eight killed was 12-year-old Ticaria Lampert. Lampert’s heartbroken mother, Sarah, spoke with Global’s Elissa Carpenter, sharing memories of her daughter.

“Everything is hard right now,” Lampert said, adding that it’s during small and seemingly ordinary moments that her daughter’s presence is missed the most.
