At least two people were killed after an assailant reportedly drove a car into pedestrians and stabbed a security guard near a synagogue in Manchester in northwest England on October 2, British police said, adding that officers had shot the suspect. Prime Minister Keir Starmer said the incident was "absolutely shocking" and that police were being deployed to synagogues across the country.
