From BBC News.
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has said the UK’s decision not to join the US-Israeli strikes on Iran was “deliberate”.
The prime minister also said “the best way forward for the region and the world is a negotiated settlement” but he called Iran’s response to the attacks "outrageous”.
It comes after the US and Israel struck Iran on Saturday, killing the country’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The Israeli military has launched new strikes on Tehran.
Meanwhile, new Iranian strikes have been reported on a major gas plant in Qatar and in Saudi Arabia.
