Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke to the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

His speech focused on Russia’s war against his country – and he pointed out the necessity for nations to work together to defend against aggressors. In a reference to recent efforts among Kyiv’s allies to come up with a suite of security guarantees for Ukraine, he began his address by saying ‘only strong alliances, only strong partners’ can guarantee security.
