The Defense Department reportedly used a high energy laser to target and shoot down a drone belonging to the Department of Homeland Security in the Texas skies, prompting the FAA to close airspace in the area. The lack of communication between Homeland Security officials and aviation authorities has lawmakers sounding the alarm and writing in a joint statement, "our heads are exploding" over the news.
