Sens. John Thune and Chuck Schumer addressed the Senate floor on Day 23 of the federal shutdown, again blaming each other’s parties for keeping the government closed. Thune accused the Democrats of "keeping the government shut down because they’re scared." Schumer said, "While Americans are agonizing over their health care, Donald Trump is using the presidency to reach into the taxpayers’ till and put money in his own pocket."
