A nonprofit military watchdog says it has received hundreds of complaints from U.S. service members alleging their commanders invoked Christian prophecy and other religious rhetoric to frame the U.S. war against Iran. U.S. Army Col. Jack Jacobs (Ret.) warns of the consequences of doing so. “It takes a unit… and divides them,” he says. “To the extent that you turn it into a religious war, you almost guarantee your own defeat.”
