“We hope for a good ending”: Iranian expats take to the streets in support of regime change

From Global News.

Thousands of Iranians, members of the global diaspora, flooded the streets in major cities Saturday in support of military strikes by the United States and Israel against Iran’s leadership.

“Iranians are happy that they finally received help from the outside, from the United States and Israel. We hope for a good ending,” Haleh Ramandi, the head of the Iranian Liberal Women’s Association said while celebrating in Berlin.

“We’ve already been asking for support from America and other countries for two months,” said Ali Yusefi, a 34-year-old Iranian man living in Turkey. “Right now we’re a bit shocked about what will happen, but we’re very happy that finally America and Israel have come."

According to Israeli officials, the strikes destroyed key military installations and targeted nuclear officials and senior members of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard.
