Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney arrived in Australia for the second leg of his high-stakes international trade mission on Tuesday.

But as MacKenzie Gray reports, Carney’s trade mission has been overshadowed by the ongoing tension in the Middle East, including the war between the U.S. and Iran.

Defence Minister David McGuinty said on behalf of the prime minister, that Canada supported Israel’s and the U.S. incursion in Iran on Tuesday.

"The prime minister and the government decided from the beginning of this that we would support this incursion. But we’re also calling for a diplomatic end to it," McGuinty said.
