Sen. Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., has been holding the Senate floor since Tuesday night, protesting what he views as President Donald Trump’s "authoritarian" policies.

Merkley’s speech comes months after New Jersey Democratic Sen. Cory Booker set the record for the longest speech on the Senate floor earlier this year, clocking in at 25 hours and 5 minutes, protesting the Trump administration.
