Malaysia’s Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim is hosting dozens of leaders and heads of state for the summit of Southeast Asian nations. Ibrahim is also welcoming leaders from Latin America and Africa – but all eyes will be on US President Donald Trump, who is en route to Kuala Lumpur. With his tariffs disrupting global trade, many leaders are eager to negotiate with him. Trump is also looking to bolster his image as a peacemaker in a long-running dispute between Cambodia and Thailand.
