From Global News.
Fans are mourning the death of Pockets Warhol, a world-renowned monkey artist, who died at his sanctuary in Brock township from thyroid cancer.
Pockets first arrived at Storybook Farm Primate Sanctuary in 2010, surrendered by his previous owner in B.C., who was keeping him as a pet. That’s when his penchant for painting abstract art began.
Many celebrities like Ricky Gervais, the Dalai Lama, and Chris Hadfield, purchased his paintings, while his art was featured in magazines like Rolling Stone.
