After being awarded the silver medal for Men’s Snowboard Cross at the 2026 Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics, Team Canada snowboard pro Éliot Grondin spoke with Global’s Redmont Shannon.

Asked if he was confident in the final, the Quebecois athlete said, “You have to be confident,” also joking, “Obviously, we wanted gold, but silver will do for now.”

As of this interview, Team Canada had won six medals – three bronze and three silve
