BC venue urged to pull the plug on controversial comedian coming to Kelowna

From Global News.

Controversial comedian Ben Bankas is pushing ahead with plans to perform at Prospera Place in Kelowna, B.C., on Thursday night despite calls to cancel his show.

The stand-up show has already been cancelled in many other communities due to what many call extremely offensive content.

Bankas has built a reputation for controversial material, including a recent set where he compared Winnipeg to an apocalyptic scene involving Indigenous people.

Victoria Femia reports on backlash — and why organizers are going ahead with the show.
