Former FBI director Robert Mueller is dead after a battle with Parkinson’s disease, his family announced in a statement on Saturday. Mueller was responsible for transforming the FBI into a terrorism-fighting force after 9/11 and later became the special counsel in charge of investigating ties between Russia and Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.
