A record number of people moved out of B.C. last year, new data shows. The Business Council of British Columbia says nearly 70,000 people made the decision to leave the West Coast, mostly for Alberta and Ontario.

“What we heard repeatedly is people who are leaving are leaving by necessity and not by choice,” Braden McMillan with the Business Council of B.C. said.
