Israel’s military says it has begun the initial stages of its attack on Gaza City.
The military declared the city a ‘dangerous combat zone’ and says it is ending the tactical pauses that allowed humanitarian aid into the area. Despite international condemnation, Israel is pressing ahead with its goal of capturing Gaza’s largest city, where around a million Palestinians are sheltering.
