Republican and Democratic senators react to Jimmy Kimmel’s show being pulled by ABC. Some senators defended the network’s decision to drop Kimmel’s show over his comments about Charlie Kirk’s assassination, while others expressed concern about the First Amendment. Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-Mo.) said he believes Kimmel was taken off air because “he’s an unfunny activist.”

“This is a red alert moment for the country,” said Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.).
