Huntington’s disease include physical symptoms like involuntary movements or difficulty walking, as well as cognitive symptoms like difficulty remembering information or irritability. The disease is hereditary — and often leads to death within 20 years.

Now, a U.K. trial of a new gene therapy treatment is providing a glimmer of hope. The 29 patients saw the disease slowed by up to 75 per cent.
