U.S. President Donald Trump openly questioned the effectiveness of the United Nations and its success record during a General Assembly meeting on Tuesday.

The U.S. is the body’s biggest financial donor among member states and for UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk, it’s all the more reason the U.S. should lean into the UN’s current mandates, like fighting climate change rather than denying it.
