Massive fire burns a third of Namibia's Etosha National Park | AFP

Fire has burnt a third of the vast Etosha National Park in Namibia–home to 114 species of mammals, notably the critically endangered black rhinoceros, and a major tourist attraction. The government has also deployed hundreds of soldiers to help contain the spread of the fire that started on September 22 and spread rapidly because of strong winds and dry vegetation.
