US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has called a rare meeting of hundreds of senior generals and admirals stationed around the world, to gather in person. The Pentagon hasn’t publicly said why, and even the generals haven’t been given a reason. It comes as a government shutdown looms – raising speculation that a mass purge may take place.
