What’s behind Trump’s suggestion to use US cities as training grounds for the US military? | DW News

From DW News.

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has told a meeting of America’s highest-ranking generals and admirals he’s overhauling the military, as well as ending political correctness and launching a review of what constitutes toxic leadership. Hundreds of senior officers were called in from deployments around the world for the address in Virginia. Hegseth spoke at length about the need for a revamp of the armed forces, declaring an end to what-he-called ideological garbage and promotions based on race or gender.
