From Global News.
Ibiza faced severe flooding on Tuesday following torrential rainfall from Storm Gabrielle, marking the island’s rainiest day in over 70 years, according to the Spanish weather agency AEMET.
Flooding disrupted travel as tourists lined up at the airport and navigated waterlogged streets.
"Yesterday was very stressful, seeing the water pouring down around here and watching it flood into the parking lot. It was horrible," said local Joaquin Coll.
AEMET issued a red alert for the Balearic Islands of Ibiza and Formentera. Ibiza finally recorded 10 inches (254 mm) of rainfall over a few hours, exceeding half of its average annual rainfall.
