MSNBC Senior Political and National Correspondent Jacob Soboroff is on the ground in Chicago as the Trump administration continues to ramp up its immigration enforcement operation throughout the city and surrounding area. State and city officials are attempting to push back against the federal government’s encroachment on the area. Governor JB Pritzker announced the state of Illinois filed a lawsuit in an attempt to block the Trump administration from deploying federalized National Guard troops on the streets of Chicago and Chicago’s mayor signed an order to stop federal agents from using certain city-owned spaces.
