A watermain break at a busy Toronto intersection caused a massive sinkhole and flooded nearby basements.

Crews worked through the day on Thursday to repair the sinkhole, which created major disruptions for people who live in the area.

Residents say they notified the city about water seeping up through the pavement, but claim the city was too slow to turn off the water supply — and they say it resulted in damage to their homes.

Sean O’Shea reports on the sinkhole, the repair work and the complaints about aging infrastructure.
