Drones have flown over four Danish airports overnight, raising concerns about security in northern Europe amid growing Russian aggression.

The Danish defence minister said Thursday it appears a “professional actor” was behind what he called “systematic flights overnight on Wednesday and into Thursday.

Danish authorities called the incidents a “hybrid attack” and said they were meant to “create fear and uncertainty.”

It was not immediately clear who was behind the incidents, but authorities say there is no danger to the public.

A similar incident at Copenhagen Airport grounded flights for hours on Monday, prompting concerns Russia could be behind it.
