Famine will spread to ‘entire population’ of Gaza in a few weeks: WFP executive | Power & Politics

As U.S. President Donald Trump pushes for a peace deal that would allow ‘full aid’ into Gaza, UN World Food Program deputy executive director Carl Skau says food can be delivered to everyone in Gaza within three months of a ceasefire, but that ‘when famine is declared, frankly it’s too late.’ Skau says a 40 per cent drop in funding during concurrent famines has led to sacrifices like aiding millions fewer people in Afghanistan: ‘This winter in Afghanistan, children are going to die.’
