US President Donald Trump has issued a 20-point plan to end Israel’s relentless offensive in Gaza, win the freedom of hostages and declare a special economic zone under Trump’s tutelage. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has given it his backing, and world powers, including Arab and Muslim nations, have welcomed the proposal. Hamas is yet to issue a response as it reviews the terms. Nearly two years since October 7, could the end of the Israel-Hamas war be in sight?
