Voting began at dawn with six candidates in the running, including incumbent center-right President Irfaan Ali who is seeking a second five-year term. Guyanese citizens vote in elections to decide who will manage the South American nation’s bountiful new oil riches and navigate a territorial dispute with neighbor Venezuela.
