I built Iron Man from LEGO Bricks!

From James Bruton.

Ad: The LEGO Group and Marvel Entertainment asked me to build an Iron Man MK43 as one of the LEGO® Marvel Brickverse challenges. They’ve been tasking awesome creators to make some epic and heroic builds!

I used 40,000 LEGO bricks to build the most detailed Marvel Avengers Iron Man MK43 I could. I included opening mechanical elements, just like the real Iron Man suit using LEGO Powered Up motors and LEGO Technic elements, and also lighting! Instead of a statue built from classic LEGO bricks stacked on top of each other, I decided to use LEGO Technic elements to build a frame and then add LEGO plates to form the contours. I continued the build with LEGO elements facing outwards – with ‘studs not on top’, to make the final contours and colour scheme of the suit with LEGO slopes and plates.

The whole build took around seven weeks working full time, 40,000 LEGO Bricks, and weighs in at around 40 Kg!
