China’s stock market has been irresistible to investors lately, a sharp turnaround from the years of Covid lockdowns and property woes.
US equities have also climbed, with the S&P 500 Index hitting a series of records since June on the artificial intelligence investment craze and hopes for Federal Reserve interest-rate cuts. But Asia is outperforming this year, with the MSCI Asia Pacific Index climbing 22% to its all-time high, outpacing gains in the S&P 500 and Stoxx Europe 600.
