Last week, “KPop Demon Hunters” became the third soundtrack in history to land three top 10 hits at the same time. This week, it becomes the first soundtrack ever to land four songs in the top 10 at the same time.
The music landscape has changed dramatically in the last 15 or 20 years — past hit soundtracks staggered the release of their singles, making it harder to land many of them in the top 10 at the same time. Still, the streaming era has produced its own blockbuster soundtracks, like “Encanto” and “Barbie.” None pulled off four simultaneous top 10 hits, though. Leave it to HUNTR/X — and their rivals in Saja Boys — to show them how it’s done.
