From Global News.
Minneapolis police Chief Brian O’Hara said Thursday that the shooter who opened fire at a Minneapolis Catholic School on Wednesday had wanted to gain “notoriety” and had idolized other mass shooters.
O’Hara asked the public not to repeat the shooter’s name.
The police chief said the shooter had intended to “terrorize” children, adding that the door to the church inside the school was locked during mass. O’Hara said the shooter fired through a narrow window that obscured their view.
“What’s particularly heinous and cowardly about this, is these children were slaughtered by a shooter that could not see them,” O’Hara said.
