Javen Willis, an 8th grader at Annunciation Church in Minneapolis, joins TODAY with his mother, Melissa, and describes keeping his friends safe during the shooting that left two children dead. "I realized I can’t just sit here and focus on myself," he says. Melissa recalls reuniting with her son after the shooting, saying, “Thankfully I was one of the ones who did get to see my kid when I got there.”
