Asked Tuesday if he would consider armed National Guards in every school in the U.S., President Donald Trump said, “I don’t think so. I’ve thrown out the concept.”

“We have great teachers that love our children… If you took a small percentage of those teachers that were in the military — that were distinguished in the military, that were in the National Guard — you let them carry (a gun).

Trump’s comments come after last Wednesday’s shooting at the Annunciation Roman Catholic Church and school in Minneapolis, which killed two children and injured 17 others.
