Nestle abruptly dismissed its CEO Laurent Freixe for failing to disclose a romantic relationship with a subordinate, which breached the company’s code of business conduct, the Swiss food giant said on Monday.

Residents in Geneva did not agree with the company’s decision to remove Freixe from his role over his "personal" life.

"Love has no limits, so if he was in love, well all the better for him", said Massimo Mautone.
