Durham police say a 31-year-old parent is facing charges after allegedly driving a car across the field and running track at G.L. Roberts Collegiate in Oshawa on Friday afternoon.

Video obtained by Global News shows the vehicle heading toward students, who ran to get out of the way.

Police allege the incident followed an altercation involving the driver’s child, but say no injuries were reported.

The driver has been charged with dangerous operation of a conveyance and assault with a weapon. Sean O’Shea reports.
