The Pokemon card craze continues to reach new heights with card thieves now targeting small hobby shops in a string of robberies across the country. Over the summer, authorities say more than $175,000 worth of cards were stolen from hobby shops in Baltimore, Detroit, and Massachusetts. Card shop owner Felipe Andre says that the low supply of rare, expensive Pokemon cards has led to spikes in prices across the game, even for newer cards, which can attract card bandits looking to resell them to turn a big profit.
