22-year-old Utah resident Tyler Robinson has been named as the man who fatally shot Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University on September 10th, 2025. On September 12th, 2025, police announced that the casings recovered in the Charlie Kirk shooting were engraved with a mix of internet memes and cultural references. One casing read “Notices bulges, OwO what’s this?,” a line from furry roleplay copypasta dating back to 2013. Another read “O Bella Ciao,” the Italian anti-fascist song first published in the 1950s that has since become a global protest anthem and was featured in Money Heist. Other casings included the trolling phrase “If you read this you are gay lmao,” “Hey fascist! Catch!,” and an arrow sequence referencing the Eagle 500-kilogram Bomb from Helldivers II.
