Can canned beans be turned into an exciting meal? Nik Sharma says yes. Today, he’s making a romesco sauce that uses roasted bell peppers and tomatoes while adding Calabrian chiles for heat, and sliced almonds for texture. Instead of bread, he opts for canned cannellini beans, which provide starch to thicken the sauce. The result is the most exciting bite of beans you may ever have.
