A decade has passed since the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) released its final report, issuing 94 calls to action to address the systemic and generational abuse caused by Canada’s residential school system, which some 150,000 Indigenous children were forced to leave their families to attend.
Of the 94 calls to action put forward by the TRC, just over a dozen have been completed to date.
