President Donald Trump dismissed renewed calls for the full release of the Jeffrey Epstein files, calling the transparency push from lawmakers and victims of the disgraced financier a “Democrat hoax.”
“This is a Democrat hoax that never ends,” Trump said from the Oval Office Wednesday. “We’ve given thousands of pages of files, and I know that no matter what you do, it’s going to keep going and going.”
The president’s remarks came as a group of Epstein abuse survivors gathered on Capitol Hill to speak out publicly in favor of releasing all the documents related to the investigation with appropriate redactions for privacy.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) said she’s encouraged President Trump to meet at the White House with victims of the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
“I look forward to talking with President Trump about these women that I’ve met. I also encouraged him, already this morning, that he should have these women in the Oval Office. They deserve to be there,” Greene told CNN after today’s bipartisan press conference with 10 survivors.
