U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to deliver remarks at the Marine Corps base in Quantico, Virginia on Tuesday morning after hundreds of generals and admirals were called in by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth for a sudden meeting.

It’s a rare gathering of U.S. military leadership in one location and It was not clear why Hegseth has ordered the meeting on such short notice, and two of the officials said this has created uncertainty among the expected attendees.

The Washington Post reported that Hegseth is expected to give a short speech about the “warrior ethos” at the event.
