U.S. President Donald Trump gave his "full endorsement" to Argentinian President Javier Milei on Tuesday, adding that the United States would help the Latin American country, but he did not think a bailout was needed.

The pair met on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, a day after Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said all options were on the table for stabilizing the Latin American nation.

The endorsement comes as Milei seeks a re-election bid for another term.

"We’re backing him [Milei] 100%. We think he’s done a fantastic job," he said.
