From BBC News.
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has refused to say if he will sack Angela Rayner if she is found to have broken the ministerial code over her tax affairs.
Speaking to the BBC’s Chris Mason, Starmer says he will act on the report by his independent adviser, which he expects to be completed "quickly”.
Pressure is mounting on the deputy prime minister after she admitted to underpaying stamp duty on a £800,000 flat.
Rayner said the "mistake" arose due to legal advice that didn’t "properly take account" of her complex situation, which involved a trust set up for her son with special educational needs.
