China’s President Xi Jinping has opened the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit in the city of Tianjin. The summit is being attended by more than 20 world leaders including Russia’s Vladimir Putin and India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Xi delivered a keynote speech and presented a long-term economic and security strategy for the region, pledging to bolster co-operation with countries in attendence.
