From Global News.
Thunderstorms swept across France on Wednesday evening, killing two people, causing damage to property, and cutting electricity.
Heavy rains fell on Paris, and strong winds took down dozens of trees, which littered the streets on Thursday. More than 100,000 households lost electricity across France, the civil security office said.
The casualties were a 12-year-old killed by a fallen tree in Montauban in southwestern France, and a 59-year-old man also killed by a falling tree while he was driving an all-terrain vehicle in the Loire region, France Info reported.
The storm alert has been lifted as of Thursday.
